#Back 2 School

It's almost back to school time and I find myself wondering what tunes I will jam to in my car this school year. As I sit in the long and winding carpool line, I always have to make sure that what I’m listening to doesn’t put me to sleep- and cause me to be carpool roadkill. You know what that is- the people that are so exhausted that they fall asleep in the carpool line and end up getting honked at or worse, passed by other cars only to stand out like a drag queen in a church. Yep, carpool roadkill. Don’t be that person this school year. Make it a goal to jam out while you’re counting down the minutes until little voices are requesting what music rings through the car. Here’s a great list of songs to get you started and keep you awake!
  1. I Kissed a Girl- Katy Perry  It’s better to sing this when little ones aren’t around so you don’t spend the entire afternoon explaining it. #RealLife
  2. Blurred Lines- Robin Thicke Should I even explain this? But, the beat…it’s pretty much right up my alley for some carpool breakdown.
  3. Baby Got Back- Sir Mix-A-Lot  Anything with a little red E beside it should be on this carpool party list, but this song…OMG Becky!!!
  4. Ignition (Remix)- R. Kelly Toot Toot, Beep Beep…oh yeah this was my college jam when I thought bars were made to be danced on top. Go ahead and take yourself back to those carefree days.
  5. Lips Are Movin- Meghan Trainor This is one of those songs that if you have a daughter, you probably sing together, but sometimes it's just so fun to sing without being told you look silly, or better yet, that you can’t sing.
  6. My House- Flo Rida This is pretty much my theme song when I roll up first in the carpool line. Yes, the windows are down and I make sure everyone knows I’m first. #CarpoolQueen
  7. Shoop- Salt-n-Pepa I’m still not quite sure what “shoop” means. I do know all the words to this song, but I don’t plan on ever talking to my kids about licking anything like a lollipop or screaming ew ew ew…uh huh.
  8. Sugar- Maroon 5 If you don’t like this song, I’m sorry. This is one of those chill songs where you can look as if you’re talking on the phone if someone is trying to pass you in the carpool line…then you can break it down and make them think you’ve lost your mind during the chorus. Works every time. #Experience
  9. Turn Down For What- DJ Snake & Lil Jon Close your eyes. You’re not in carpool anymore. You’re on vacation (without kids, that’s what vacation is- anything else is a trip). You feel relaxed and ready to pick up the kids yet?
  10. Halo- Beyonce A great tune to remind you that you deserve just that, a halo, for sitting in the carpool line for so long. Bless Your Heart!
Carpool can be quiet time or karaoke time- whichever you prefer, I support. Just whatever you do, rock the moment and enjoy it! #CarpoolChronicles #MySouthernView #SouthernViewChronicles

What Our Clients Are Saying

Lynn helped my family end up in our dream home! She was always responsive, working day and night for us. She kept us informed every step of the way. My 3yo still asks if it’s Ms. Lynn every time my phone rings! We are so happy we found her and that she helped us find our new favorite place in the world!

Lynn was absolutely amazing. As two first time home buyers we knew nothing about the whole process and what we would need to do. From the first time I messaged Lynn about being our realtor she was always so friendly and there to answer all the questions we had.
